The story of Job is a story of a man who had great faith. Most people don't like to read it because it portrays a man being put to a mighty test. God believed Job could stand against Satan and trust in Him. Job has much and in a blink of an eye; He loses his children, home and wealth. He also loses the men around him, for they believe he has done something awful against the Lord.
Sometimes we see something one way, when God has a different perspective. Job wasn't being punished by God, although on the outside it sure looked like it. His faith was being tested and Job was staying faithful. He had hope in his God. Many wonder why bad things happen to good people. There is no rest on earth, our rest will come when we are united with Christ, but not a minute before then. Does that mean we lay down and die? No, we get up and believe that our hope is not in our circumstances, but in Christ who died for us.
Job 31:24 NKJV:
If I have made gold my hope, Or said to find gold, You are my confidence;
Psalm 71:5
For You are my hope, O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth.
Christ is our hope. I can't believe we look at man to be our hope. Great men are born for the hope of our Lord and Savior. Great women are too! Our hope is not in what we see but in what we can't see. Stay focused on the unseen and let God do the rest.
My prayer today:
O, LORD please help us to stay in YOU! I am so thankful that our hope is in You and not on this fallen world. Give us guidance all our days and remind us that we can and should trust in You. Keep our eyes focused on the mighty powers You possess and in the hope that we will one day be in Your arms. Thank you for giving us the ability to read and study Scripture. Also, thank you for leading us to women that believe in You. I pray that those that don't know You will come to this blog and get a mighty dose of Your Power!!!!!!! AMEN
Until tomorrow...
