In every person's life, they will face many giants. Some giants may be larger than others but none of us will escape them. I have been experiencing many challenges in the last weeks all with one conclusion; "Trust in Me." What does it mean to trust in God?
It's so easy to say, have faith! What about living that faith? The Bible is clear; we are to trust in Jesus and He will lead us on the right path. If you are facing challenges today, put this Scripture in your mind and meditate on it, for God is real and He is near.
Hebrews 11: 17-22 NIV:
By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, In Isaac your seed shall be called," concluding that God was able to raise him up even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense.
By faith, Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.
By faith Jacob, when he was dying blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff.
By faith Joseph, when he was dying, made mention of the departure of the children of Israel, and gave instructions concerning his bones.
Hebrews 11 is about men that had faith. Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and Abraham knew God in a way we need too. They believed when he said, "go this way." They got up and went. That doesn't mean they didn't face challenges because they surely did. However, they were given a faith that surpassed understanding. Your giants will come; it's how you face them that will matter. I know because I am facing them too.
My prayer today:
Father as we come before You today; I pray that I would trust in You. That I would have faith as our fathers did before us and without a shadow of a doubt; I would know you are near. I pray that my faith would grow through my trials and that I would bow down to You in my fear. I thank you Lord for providing us enough History to know that we have the ability to have a faith like Abraham's. Give me strength and encouragement as I walk today. Please don't let my feet stumble but give me Your Holy power to conquer all giants. Help me as I continue to grow in You and please Lord, give me a great faith! AMEN
