This is my first blog and I have to tell you; I am a little scared. Writing your thoughts and prayers on paper, behind closed doors, is very different then talking to an audience. Today, I begin a journey of great faith, to reach out to those the Lord brings to this site. May the words on this blog, glorify Jesus and may the hearts of women turn toward Him.
Today, I read Psalm 116 in the NIV. David's journey with God is one of the most profound and inspiring times in History. A shepherd was crowned king.
Psalm 116:8-14:
For you, O Lord, have delivered my soul from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling,
that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living.
I believed; therefore I said,
"I am greatly afflicted."
And in my dismay I said,
"All men are liars."
How can I repay the Lord for all his goodness to me?
I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord.
I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people.
David helps us all realize that in our affliction and dismay; we must always thank our Lord. In our pain, we must all remember that God is good and that he loves us. Call on him today and ask him to show you how much he loves you!
